Samurai or Warrior?

Something that I had not known before I read this book was that a samurai is also known as a warrior. This kind of sadden me a bit because I had always thought of a samurai being above the warrior. Instead they are the exact same thing. To me the samurai had to do a lot of training to get where they were but that isn't always the case. Also woman would often be taught the ways of a warrior, if their husband was a warrior. Mostly to protect themselves from any trouble that might be happening while their husband is out fighting for territory.
