Currency
The currency in Japan was based off the same used in China. The reason for this was because China was Japans main supplier as Japan was isolated by water. What I didn't full know was the coin that was used. I knew it was some type of currency, but I didn't realize it was the currency used during the early stages of Japan. The coin was circular with a square in the middle of it. The were also stamped coins, which I assume means they were real. Amazing at how currency was made back then. The square for this currency was meant so that way the carrier could string all their coins together. Also it must have been very time consuming for the blacksmith to craft these coins. It isn't like they had machines back then that could mass produce the coin. In fact some blacksmiths got tired of it and started to make fake currency. It really was no different to the other. The only difference was the stamping of the coin. This coin was allowed to be used in some spots of Japan while others not.
